How do I get a NDIS plan?

First, you’ll need to book a pre-planning meeting with your Local Area Coordinator (LAC) or NDIA planner. Here you will chat about your goals and aspirations and generally what assistance you may require. After this meeting you LAC or NDIA planner will let you know how long your plan will take to be approved. Once the plan is approved you can then talk to a service provider such as Better Oz Cares about how best to implement your plan.

I’m with another service provider, how do I switch to Better Oz cares?

This can be done in 5 easy steps:

  1. Talk to your current NDIS provider. This is just to reassure them that they haven’t done anything wrong.
  2. Look over your current service agreement. Your current agreement will have a section that explains what to do in order to terminate your agreement with your current provider.
  3. Now you need to end the service agreement. It’s recommended that you don’t do this over the phone as this can be recorded as an informal method and be ignored. Sending an email that states your formally terminating the agreement shows proof and a date for which you started the process to end the agreement.
  4. Now you just have to end your service booking in the MyPlace portal. Remember this is your NDIS participant portal.
  5. Now you’re free to sign up with Better Oz Cares! Welcome aboard.
